Today was yet another saint’s name day celebration, this time in the center of the city. People lined up (and pushed up behind you) in order to say a prayer to this protector of the eyes. It’s a beautiful church, however, between the chaos and not wanting to disturb those in prayer, it was difficult to get many good pictures. We ended the night at the paralia. Along the beach, the norm here is to go to a cafe type restaurant with tables and chairs set up along the coast and order a few drinks, smoke your cigarettes, and socialize. We just so happen to have an amazing view of the sunset going down behind the mountains with the city at its feet. (I apologize for how many I took, it was just too beautiful.)
I’m lucky to have gotten my mother’s eyes.
My aunt, Nikki, and mom.
My drink of choice.
