We started off with a “girls day” at the beach and despite the water being cold, Maria convinced my mom to go in again so she can swim. The one upside – the water was clear enough to see the little fish that kept swimming by!
Seeing my family always makes me sentimental, and watching the changes year after year, I feel this pressure, almost desperation to photograph every and anything. My grandmother’s garden is no exception. I can still remember being a little girl, fascinated by all the colors and the overwhelming number of them. Now it seems that they are so few left. She guards them as best she can but she just isn’t able to maintain them the way she use to. In the end I feel like I’m taking pictures for the both of us.
